What exactly is Homoeopathy and how does it work:

Homoeopathy, also spelt Homeopathy, is a natural treatment for better health. It can be used as an alternative or complementary remedy to conventional medicine. Most of its remedies are herbal.

Homeopathy works by treating the root cause of your symptoms. This way, whatever is causing your illnesses is tackled, and this enables a holistic healing in you, giving you a more permanent treatment.

As homeopathy works by treating you as a person rather than your illness, a homoeopath will generally never prescribe a medication to you without doing a profile of yourself. It is from this “research” about you, that a homoeopath will know what the best remedy is for you. The Homeopath needs to find the remedy that fits your personality. This gives you the greatest chance of healing.

The interesting thing about homeopathy is that the remedy does not do the healing, it only kick starts the process and it is your body that heals.Your body is a very complex and clever organism that has the ability to heal itself, IF YOU WILL LET IT. All it needs is a little help to kick start the process and that is where homeopathy comes in.

So you can see why the profile of you needs to be as accurate as possible. We have over 3000 remedies.

Because your body does the healing, homeopathic remedies are safe to take even for babies. pregnant mothers. and the elderly. There are no side effects like the conventional medicines and no addiction problems either.

Of course for general acute illnesses like colds, sneezing etc, a homoeopath may tell you to take a certain medication without even doing your profile. Profiling is important for chronic illnesses as the remedy needs to fit your profile.

Who can use Homoeopathy:

Anyone , including pregnant mothers, babies can safely use homeopathy. It is also very good for before and after operations.

How effective is Homoeopathy?

Homoeopathy is very effective but for some the treatment can take longer. It all depends on the illness, the period you have had it for and how “clean” the inside of your body is. What we mean by “clean”, is simply if there are other chemicals in your body from say conventional medication. As Homoeopathic remedies are very sensitive to chemicals, these chemicals can make it more difficult for the remedies to kick in. However having said that, there is no problems taking both types of medication if you so wish so long as they are not taken immediately after the conventional medication. Ideally half an hour to an hour should elapse between taking the conventional and the homeopathic remedies

The next step will be then to do your profile, which can take about an hour to complete. As mentioned earlier the profile is the most important record the homoeopath needs to help analyse you. Once this is completed, I will then do my research to find the best medication for you. This can then be either collected or posted to you with the dosage directions.

We will then do a fortnightly follow up to see if there is any changes and if the medication needs to be continued, frequency changed, etc.

If more of the same remedy is needed after the 2 weeks, then all you pay for is the remedy. A further consultation is only needed if there has been substantial improvement and there is still some more that needs to be done, then we will need to discuss with you further and see what other remedy/ potency etc is needed.
